We belong to the above "Diversity" webring, sponsored by The Random Acts of Kindness Group.
They believe (and we agree) that we are all different and unique. There are no classes of people, we are all the same, no better and no worse. We join together because we want to spread tolerance around the internet.

 

 

"Prejudice is being down on something we're not up on."
Educate against hate... and intolerance and prejudice.
Some causes of intolerance are our own fears and lack of knowledge.
Be open to learn and grow. Replace fears with love and self esteem... when we feel better about ourselves, we treat others better. Increase our knowledge and then understanding will follow.

Be a good example to our children and peers. Teach those around us to focus on the insides of people instead of the outsides of people.

"Speak without offending. Listen without defending."

Be accepting of others regardless of color, caste, or creed. We don't have to believe in everything that someone else believes. Just accept another's individuality. Stop judging a whole group of people (or profession or whatever) based on one bad seed you may have encountered.

Be aware that hate is something that is learned. We need to remind our children, and everyone around us, that diversity is a good thing and then prove it by setting an example.

Be willing to see the good in ourselves and the good in others.
Be patient. Be happy. Be light.
