In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not.
But as many as received him,
to them he gave the right to become children of God
to them that believe on his name:
who were born ,
not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man,
but of God.
The first verse of the fourth gospel is the most profound sentence ever penned.
The word became flesh, and in those days, the glory of God was revealed . His Spirit remains to this day: a power sovereign as the wind, to beget his life in surrendered hearts.
Pride is crushed by his humility,
covetousness is reversed by his giving,
lust is lost in beholding him crucified.
The power of an indissoluble life was formed out of the days of his flesh.
Those that saw his life , were charmed by it.
Until they saw his death , they were powerless to receive it.
Until he was raised to life , his life could not be shared .
The life that enlightens, was first lived, then crucified,
then raised from the dead.
The surrender of our will is the only way
we may ever share that life.
Surrender begins a pilgrimage of surrenders,
the only way to the Father.
Ever-changing lives proclaim:
Jesus is the way the truth the life.
