Article 4a   "Recieve God's Reign"

"Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a

little child, he shall in no wise enter in." Mark 10:15

These words of Jesus were spoken when the disciples rebuked those who

were bringing little children to be blessed by him. Jesus was indignant that

the disciples discouraged them. He used this interruption to teach

the only way to enter the kingdom of God is to receive it as a little child.

We know how little children receive a gift--with humility and appreciation.

They know they could not have gotten it by their own power or knowledge.

They are delighted. No self-assertion that they have achieved the gift.

The kingdom of God is the rule of God over our willful hearts.

Jesus said, "...the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21

Jesus taught us to pray, "...thy kingdom come,..."

I come to see my need for God to repeatedly come and reign over me.

If we ask Him, He will come.

He gave us life to live unto Him.

It is not too late for anyone to come under his rule.

It was not too late for Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

It was not too late for a woman taken in adultery.

It was too late for a thief on a cross.

He was dead, but is alive forevermore.

As little children, we may receive his touch, today.

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest."
