| I started having contractions around 2am on the night of December 15th 2002 (her due date) so my parents took me to the hospital. While there the contractions started to slow down a little. They gave me an IV and put a monitor on my belly to hear the baby's heart beat and to monitor the contractions. Around 7am they moved me to a delivery room and started me on Patocion to make the contractions harder and last longer. About 2pm the doctor came in and broke my water. Shortly after, my contractions started getting much stronger and harder. So I was given the Epidural at 2:30pm. I got a bit sick from the Epidural at first, started shaking and even threw up. Finally the doctor came in and started me pushing at about 4:45pm. At first I couldn't even tell if I was pushing, cause I couldn't feel anything. I had been pushing for about 30 mins when the doctor got a bit worried cause every time I'd push the baby's heart beat would stop. They started talking to my parents about a possible c-section. But they kept having me push, when I got her head out they saw that the cord was raped loosly around her neck so the doctor pulled that off and had me push a couple more times and she finally poped right out. The doctor layed her on my stomach as the nurses whipped her off. |
