Lucia, a fourteen year old, is the main character in the anime, Mermaid Melody.She is the Mermaid Princess of the North Pacific Ocean and she keeps the pink pearl. Seven years ago she journeyed to the surface of the ocean and she unexpectedly loses her pink pearl when she uses it to save a boy that almost drowned in the ocean. Now, seven years later, she comes back to the surface to find her pink pearl. She eventually gets her pearl back from the boy, Kaito, and she also falls in love with him. During her stay at the surface she realizes she has a very important job. Evil villians want to capture her and and the other mermaid princess'. Lucia uses her Pink Pearl Voice to protect her and others from these evil doers.
