I just saw Peyton playing a corpse (next week we'll see her alive) on Daybreak, and all I can say is hopefully she'll get more scenes next week! Anyway, I hate to admit this, but with the exception of Without a Trace, her guest spots have been pretty generic...the "any pretty lady can play this role" type dealie. Alas, most guest spots are like that.
Peyton and Elizabeth Hendrickson are the two leading ex soapstars with the most guest roles since last year. Peyton had around eight. I am wondering what Jessica Dunphy's next step will be cuz she has been out of work since ATWT a year ago. (which is odd cuz she did get to work on Sopranos). Okay this leads into my next topic, can u honestly make a living doing guest spots? Peyton has done a whole lot so she can eake out a living w/o having and she could've saved a lot from modeling her whole life. FOlks wondered why Justin Breuning, Peyton, Zach Roerig all modelled while doing their soaps. Dude, your starting soap salary is 100,000 bucks per yr which is good but not outstanding in NYC! If u noticed, majority of the east coast soapsters (especially ATWT) are married folks with kids and not as willing to move so they stay put and get salary increases each contract renewal (also helps if you are a vet of soaps). I read a CSI guest spot will pay about 3,000 bucks..which is not bad but most actors get about 2 or 3 if lucky guest spots per year. So at the most I would say 4,000 bucks for each spot Peyton did so that totals 32,000 bucks for this year and last year. And of course with her two bmovies and her Disney studio movie, she's not poor as hell.
Grayson actually did somewhat good post AW, with his studio film and the entire season of Legacy---I think it was after 2001 he only got The Agency guest spot and the Momentum movie.
