I really wanted to write a part II after I read commentary about the criticisms of putting the Emmy awards in June on tvguide.com/soaps...well it didn't hit me but i guess CBS does want Daytime to phase out.  The Daytime Emmy awards will be presented Friday night in the SUMMER, with prom nites, football championships, FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND? 

A little ditty I thought that I'm surprised not a whole lot of folks commented.  (Lusty related)...In the 2004 awards, Cady McClain won for ATWT, but her last words in her speech raised some eyebrows. She said ATWT should nurture and protect actors like Agim Kaba and Peyton List, and it got me thinking.  Was it that that bad for Agim and Peyton?  Cady was still on the show and was very aware Peyton was going to pair up with Grayson for the Lusty storyline and I'm sure on paper it looked ludicrious and sordid.  She could've just prepared for a negative fallout (especially when Peyton had expressed fear and worry about it---that she loved working with G but at that point Lucy wasn't getting great storytime since PL's debute, and it looked like "nothing to lose" story for her).  When I think of it practically Cady was the only one who bothered mentioning that for press protection.  Whoa. 

When I think of how quiet it has been for ATWT, folks have been saying both WT and GL would be axed at once in 2007 (or whenever), and I had always refuted that GL would get it first cuz WT's ratings were stable.  BUT Steve Burton on GH mentioned that soaps care about demos...cuz this is where they make money, so with GL and WT BOTH having very low demos...could it be true PG would do a one-two punch and CBS would have just YR and BB?
