Live & Walk by Faith

All the three Bible Readings for today inspire us to live by Faith:-

First: (Daniel 6.10-23) Daniel, the man of prayer, on his knees three times lived by faith in God. Even the most powerful king of his time could not succeed in destroying him. When he was thrown into the lion's den, the king said: "May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you!" What prophetic words, even though uttered without realizing the power behind them ! Daniel was delivered from death because of his own personal trust in God, of course.

2nd: (Romans 5.1-11) Paul, the Apostle, no longer depended on his own philosophical, legal, intellectual or even his religious knowledge, lived simply by faith in God. "Since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God" he said. The word "since" means "therefore" or "as a result of being" or "having found this to be true and real in life".

3rd: (Luke 19.1-10) Zacchaeus, the corrupted customs officer turned to Christ for salvation. He meant to live by faith when he said. "If I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it four-fold." It is important to note what Jesus said about this true convert. "Since (because) he, Zacchaeus also is a son of Abraham (meaning, the man of faith).

Deliverance, Reconciliation, Salvation, - three important biblical words in our lessons for today rest on faith !

We learn that we should live simply by faith. We walk by faith, not by sight in anything around us that touches our physical senses. Our Christian "walk" or "way of life" is a proof of the presence of God.

To those whose life is still being crippled by sins, here is the good news. You can be healed.(Acts 14.10) You, too, can leap and walk and live !
