Places to Meet New Friends and Chat




One of my favorite things to do TALK! Meet some new friends or chat with some old ones. Below is a list of different chat areas I have found on the internet.



  • Pow Wow
    You have to download this program, lets you chat or surf with your friends. I have this one and can be reached at grandma@bhil.com.
  • ICQ
    This has to be downloaded and then registered. Allows you to see if your friends or online, you can request a chat, send a note, send email and a lot more. I use this one also.
  • mIRC
    You must download this one.
  • PIRCH
    An IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client for the Microsoft Windows® 3.x, Windows® 95 Platforms and Windows® NT.
  • Freetel
    FreeTel provides real-time full-duplex voice communication via the Internet. You can talk to friends and relatives around the world, free of long-distance telephone charges. Must down load this one also.



    The following are a few places you might find me.

  • Tele-Garden
    Must register and get a password, sent to you through the email. Here you can chat, plant after a certain amount of hits, water and watch your plant grow. A family oriented group of gardeners usually at this chat area. I go here frequently, one of my favorite chat areas.
  • TG Cookbook
    You can try this one out as a guest, but then need to register and get a password. Here you can chat with a nice group of people. You can also submit a recipe or find one you like. I can be found here late in the evening.
  • Web Chat
    Need to register, have a lot of rooms on different topics or you can create a private room of your own. I chat here occasionly.
  • Chat House
    Need to register, can add more than one user name to your password. I found the upatairs room to be more family type rooms. The basement is no place for your teenagers to be going.
