Martha was the fourth daughter of Daniel E. Rentch, Warrensburg, MO. She was born 05 Feb 1843 in Knob Noster, Johnson Co., MO. She married Luther Lake 23 Dec 1869. Luther came from Fauquier Co., VA. After their marriage they moved west: Texas, Arkansas, and finally settling in Oklahoma. They raised eight children.
