George settled in the Grimes, Frederick Co., Va. area (near Winchester) in 1842 and bought a farm. He married Elizabeth Ann Colvin in 1831 and had two sons- David and James. In 1867 George married his second wife- Frances Artz. The couple had no children. They lived in the same house until his death in 1882 at the age of 77+. The Taylor's became pillars in the Grimes/Whitehall area through the development of the Whitehall Methodist Church. Most of the Taylor family is buried in the church cemetery.
