Louise was born in Harrisburg, Pa., March 27, 1916. The first daughter of Brooke and Anna Leola Brown. Shortly afterwards, the family moved to Grimes, Frederick Co., VA. when her sister, Margaret, was born in 1918. Louise and her sister spent the early years of their childhood moving from Grimes to their grandmother Browns', in Hedgesville, Berkeley Co., WV. This was due to the Great Depression and also the death of their mother of influenza shortly after Margarets birth.. In 1942, she married her childhood sweetheart, J. Kenneth Rentch, before he shipped out to the North Atlantic for WWII.
Louise spent most of her adult life, at home,in Shepherdstown, Jefferson Co., WV., raising her three sons, and caring for her aunt-Margaret Brown. Louise and Kenny celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1992. Two years later, she passed away, while living in Florence, S.C.
