Italy
Like the Bonjour's from Switzerland, those from Italy likewise suffered from religious
persecution during the Reformation. The Bonjour's from Italy are primarily from the Waldensian Church. They were forced from their homes to the valleys of the Piedmont.
Both the Swiss and Italian Bonjours trace their roots, and religious beliefs, originally to one man, Pierre Waldo/Valdes/Vaudes of Lyon France.
