Composition "Southern Girl" ca. 1939-41 - 11" - clear brown
sleep eyes, compo in lovely condition, black mohair wig (needs
re-styling, but nice); original complete outfit, underwear,
including slip; original shoes, socks,. Gorgeous facial features
                                  $425.(reduced from $525)

Babs Skater 18" h.p. "Babs Skater," ca. 1950 Margaret face.
Ash-blonde mohair wig (nice, but could use re-styling), blue
eyes, nice features, cheeks a little light. Tagged skating
costume has peach jersey knit shoulders and long sleeves; yoke to
hem is burgundy velvet; peach jersey knit panties. Original gold
metallic lace-up boot ice skates. As so often happens with the
MA metallic skates, the gold overlay is starting to flake and
peel away from the under-boot material. The blade is missing from
one skate. Otherwise a very, very nice doll; very hard to find.
     $425. (reduced from $575)

dress, trimmed with white faux fur collar and cuffs, matching
     hat, black suede boots. 40.

Mary Hoyer - more dolls added 6/15
All 14", some compo, some hard plastic. Most are dressed in
garments knit, crocheted, or sewn from Hoyer patterns; these are
considered original in that they were made in the 40s-50s for
original owners. Some are marked "Made in U.S.A." inside a
circle on back; others marked "Original Mary Hoyer Doll" inside a
circle on back; some have blank circles. Any of these are
authentic markings. Wig material as noted. I do not have any 18"
Hoyer "Gigi" dolls for sale. Note new additions to list as of
June 15. Sale pending on some dolls, as noted.

     1. Hard plastic pin-hipped walker (Circle/"Made in U.S.A.") in
trunk with extra clothes. No tagged clothes; two gowns,
crocheted bareback rider outfit (teal w/ white); several sewn and
crocheted outfits, from the `50s; extra footwear. Doll has
brunette braids, tied with original mint green ribbons, blue
eyes; nice facial features, light cheek color. Trunk is 50s red
metal in excellent condition. Doll excellent, outfits nice but
nothing special. Will also sell doll nude, without trunk or
clothing; or will sell dressed in one outfit without trunk or
extras. Inquire if interested $425. with trunk and extras

     2. Brunette, blue-green eyes. Marked The Original Mary Hoyer
Doll. Personally dressed in late 1980s by Mary Hoyer herself.
She wears a tagged gown of petal pink taffeta (floor length, full
skirt). The skirt of the gown is overlaid with white lace; the
bodice is overlaid with tulle. There is lace trim at the
neckline and at the sleeve cuffs (long sleeves). She wears a
pink half-slip and white panties. ). I believe the panties were
commercially made and purchased for the doll, not made by Mrs.
Hoyer. Her original M.H. leatherette shoes are white, with
straps that criss-cross and snap in the middle. I'm not sure
what the wig fibre is, softer than Saran, nicely curled and her
wig is a little longer than is typical. I think probably she is
one of the later hard plastic Hoyer dolls ... before they
discontinued the hard plastic and offered vinyl dolls. The doll
has lovely rosy cheek color, with dark red lips.
$425. (reduced from $495.) SALE PENDING

     3. Marked (The Original Mary Hoyer Doll"). Her wig is med.
brown with a reddish cast (chestnut?). Typical short, curly
hairstyle, with bangs, in original set, with hairnet. She has
nice facial features. Nice bright red lips. Blue-green eye
color. The eye shadow on the doll's right eye (on the left as
you look at the doll) has faded (mostly not there). She wears her
original floor-length gown of pea-green taffeta /w matching tulle
overskirt. The bodice has a dropped waist and taffeta peplum
overlaid with tulle and trimmed with olive green sequins. Olive
green sequins trim the neckline and cap sleeves. The gown is not
tagged, but it is believed to be an original from the shop. It
was definitely made from a Hoyer pattern. There are some age
holes in the net and the net looks dingy. $ 325. SALE PENDING

     4. Reddish brown (sort of auburn) saran wig; very nice and
full; blue eyes "Made in U.S.A." Nice doll, but with slightly
light cheek color, well-defined features, pretty face. Will sell
nude or dressed in an untagged, original 40s-50s vintage outfit
knit or crocheted from Hoyer pattern. Nude/$270 dressed/$300

     5. "Made in U.S.A." - reddish-brown (sort of auburn) saran wig
(wig is nice and full, but messy). I didn't have a lot of luck
trying to untangle it, so put it in a French twist of sorts.
     Nearly identical to preceding doll, but better facial features;
high cheek color; blue eyes. Will sell nude or dressed in an
untagged, original 40s-50s vintage outfit knit or crocheted from
     Hoyer pattern. Nude/$270 dressed/$300

     6. Bright red hair, saran, curly "do." Blue eyes. Light cheek
color. Not currently dressed, but will sell dressed in outfit
knit or crocheted from Hoyer pattern for $30 above the nude
price. Marked Circle/"Made in U.S.A." Price reflects that she
is not dressed; for knit or crocheted Hoyer outfit, add $30.
nude: $225. dressed: $255. SALE PENDING

     7. Composition, unmarked. Amazing ice-blue eyes. Very nice
features. No damage. Wig is that strange auburn with a slightly
maroon" tint mohair, in excellent condition. Her gown is not
from a Hoyer pattern, but is original to the doll (untagged) ...
could have been made in the shop, as not everything sold from the
shop was made from the "standard" Hoyer patterns. $275.

     8. Painted-eye composition.. Unmarked. Blonde mohair wig,
blue eyes. Original gown (untagged). Gown is aqua net ruffles
over matching taffeta. No crazing that I am aware of. Very nice
     doll. $185.

     9. Marked "Original Mary Hoyer Doll." Reddish saran wig ...
     more red than most. Wig is nice and full, but needs to be styled;
she has been packed away for a while and it has flattened her
wig, nice and long. Blue eyes. Skating costume is original to
doll (untagged, but from a Hoyer pattern; may be from shop, but
uncertain). Yarn is Wedgewood blue. Costume includes one-piece
skating dress trimmed in pale pink angora, matching hat, panties,
and mittens. I believe the skates are original; they are pink
and have seen same on other Hoyers. One skate is damaged, boot
separated from blade; someone repaired it with thread in a rather
strange manner. I think the repair could be undone and the boot
properly glued to the blade. Has very nice facial coloring ...
one of the best. SALE PENDING

     10. Unusual OPEN-MOUTHED doll - "Made in U.S.A." Perhaps not a
true Hoyer, but same mold used. Another collector told me
open-mouthed mold Hoyers came dressed as brides. This doll did
wear a 40s-50s vintage wedding gown when I purchased it. Dark
brunette saran wig in excellent condition. Nice doll, coloring a
little light; minimal check color, otherwise very nice features.
Will sell nude for $250 or dressed in 40s-50s vintage outfit
crocheted or knit from Hoyer pattern for $275.
                                             nude/$250dressed/$275
     11. Golden blonde braids, blue eyes, marked "The Original Mary
Hoyer Doll." The elastic holding her braids has broken and there
are no ribbons on her braids. Doll is nude. Cheek color light
(some blush). Flaw on doll's right cheek and near left eye (glue
residue?); Marks on chin. Doll's right eyebrow is light. Needs a
bit of work, but has considerable potential as fixer-upper. Or
at this bargain price, could be parts doll. No additional
     discount. No return. $125.

Ideal "Toni" - more dolls added 6/15
     1. Early P-90 prototype, long blonde mohair wig, softly curled
bangs. Pleasing cheek and lip color, painted lower lashes a bit
light, but still nice; eyebrows barely visible. Very pretty face.
Nude, but with repl. shoes/socks and panties. $95.

     2. P-90 deep chestnut (red highlights) wig, bangs. Eyebrows
very light, but visible; nice lashes. Light cheek color, but has
some pink. Original (untagged) Toni dress (yellow with white
eyelet overlay, yellow ribbon through eyelet; elastic in sleeves
is blown; sleeve elastic is easy to replace if you sew) no
     panties. Barefoot. $130

     3. P-90 long golden-blonde wig; bangs. Exceptional facial
features, with very nice, bright cheeks and lips Redressed.
                                                                 $195.

     4. P-91 platinum blonde, bright, well-defined features; nice
high color. Doll is in excellent condition, wig would benefit
from re-styling. Hair is long, to below waist, center-part.
Wearing original Toni dress; hot pink, trimmed with lt.
blue-embroidered white organdy overlay at bodice and upper half
of skirt; attached white half-slip. No tag, but original.
Panties replaced. Replaced shoes, socks. Dress good, some
fading, small tear has been neatly mended. $265.

     5. P-91 dark brunette with reddish highlights, center part,
nice long wig in great condition; nice facial features, but cheek
color is light (still has some pink to it); redressed in copy of
     Toni dress; replaced shoes $150.

     6.   P-91 dark brunette, center part, nicely curled long wig;
very nice facial features, good cheek color; redressed, replaced
     shoes $150.

     7. P-91 redhead (bright red like Lucille Ball!); nice facial
features, very well-defined brows/lashes; cheek color nice, but a
little bit on the light side. Redressed, replaced shoes. $150.

     8. P-91 wheat blonde/ash blonde, very long curly wig. Really
beautiful hair. Very light cheek color, eyebrows missing. I was
told her dress is original and I have seen Toni dresses like it,
but I won't guarantee that it is original. Dress is very well
made, appears commercial. Has attached panties. Replaced shoes.
                         $150.
     9. P92: Very long, hip-length black wig, bangs; blotchy
cheeks; nude. Quite nice, certainly not mint, but in over-all
nice condition and a really excellent buy at this price. A bit of
carefully applied blush would improve her cheeks or spend a small
amount to have her cheeks professionally air-brushed. $225.

     Kandy Schneider
Beautiful antique reproduction dolls. Kandy is a superlative
repro artist from Illinois. Her costuming is magnificent and
incorporates appropriate fabrics with antique trims. Sizes range
from 8«" Just Me mold to 24" SFBJ 252 Pouty. Photos available.
Kandy's dolls are one of a kind; each is individually costumed
and wigged. I would take one of Kandy's beauties over an original
antique any day. Most prices already reflect 10%-15% deduction
from the price I paid. Each was custom-made to my
specifications. (less 15% thru July 30)
