my favorite doll is: Chatty Cathy & my 1st drink & wet doll from Santa in 1960!

My former babysitter, now 50-ish gave me her childhood dolls from appx 1950. A Gerber baby with 1 bad leg. A "Terri Lee" with long brown hair, painted eyes, a travel trunk & appx 6 outfits marked "Terri Lee". A jointed doll with a light blue dress, black shoes, open/shut blue eyes and long brown hair, marked "ALEXANDER" on neck. A tall "Revlon model" doll in blue dress & heels in original Ideal box. And a "Mary Jane" doll. Anyone who could help me with appx. dates and values of dolls, I would be grateful. Also, any tips on doll hair care?

Re: Old composition doll
olblue@voyager.net

I have a lady friend who has a small, composition doll. Jointed limbs and head. It is intact but has some cracking and a little paint off. It bears no marks that I can find. I would like to identify this doll for her so she can determine if it is economically feasible to have it restored. She is not rich so even the freight to a doll hospital would be an expense if it turned out not to be worth fixing. I can send you a digital photo on the e mail if anyone would care to take a look and offer an opinion.
I am involved in lots of stuff, but dolls are way off my areas of expertise.
I would be happy to return the favor sometime if you would care to keep my e mail to contact me sometime when you come upon a puzzeler of your own.
E mail me at olblue@voyager.net and I will send you the photo. Thank you, Larry Kellogg

Hi Sue,
I haven't visited your site in many months. You've added alot, and now that I have the plugin for sound on my browser, I can enjoy your "Hello Dolly" music.
I'd like to know more about your new Ginny. What year, etc. I don't recognise the outfit, but it's soooo classy! (I love outfits with gold trim)
Are you ever going to give us a look at that Deanna Durbin doll you restored?
Hugs from a fellow collector in Seattle,
Annie
