My Casey!

Samantha may have gotten me started in obedience, but this wonderful little sheltie made my attitude about myself change tremedously. Casey gave me confidence. She was always eager to learn. It seems no matter what it was, she delighted in being taught something new. Almost as if the game was figuring out what I was trying to get over to her.

She gave me love and devotion, and on top of that a little bit of success. She was so attuned to me it was sometimes uncanny.

Unfortunately, when Casey was at her prime in her showing career, I had to go back to work full time and did not have the time, energy or the finances to spend training and showing her. She might very well have eventually attained an OTCH if I could have pursued it with her.

Even though we have had several dogs at our house and each one has had a hold of my heart in its own way, I doubt there will ever be another dog quite as special to me as Casey was.
