It was really hard for me to give Trouble her name. We tried so many different
ones on her (something that I have never done naming my critters
before).
But, nothing else seemed to fit. She is never "bad" or "mean" or anything like
that, she is just always in trouble doing little things she shouldn't be doing.
She loves to work with me in obedience, which is rather unusual for a Bulldog.
If I could only have found the time, we could have had her CD title
in a very short time. The moving exercises were the easy ones...it's those
stays that were hard for her.
Trouble, also, came determined to win my heart. She is so wild and independent in
so many of her ways, and yet, she follows me everywhere and wants to be the closest
to me.
She has no challenges now. All the others are gone. Trouble is here and I know she desparately wants to please me. I will try to let her.
She came to our home of many dogs determined to be the alpha dog. My oldest
Sheltie, Casey , didn't like it a bit; but Trouble took over Casey's
position of being top dog here. Casey was just too small and too old to hold onto her
previous position, even though she made an attempt at it ever once in a
while and I had to step in and let them both know who the "Boss" really was.
