I can't believe another year is almost gone! Yet, here I am composing another Christmas family newsletter.
Brigham has been very busy this year. In August he was released as first counselor in the bishopric in a college ward, and it's nice to attend church as a family again. He's currently the ward music chairman and Sacrament meeting chorister.
Brigham is still working for Certiport, and received a promotion to supervisor earlier this year. He has one year left of his city council term and is no longer serving as the council liaison to the planning commission, but instead is a member of the telecom board and liaison to the arts council.
Again, Brigham has performed quite a bit this year. He was Mr. Bluff in Mozart's "Impresario." He was also Canute Peterson in "Follow Your Heart" and a juryman in Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial by Jury." He had the opportunity to perform at Cove Fort Days as well, and played his guitar as he sang some pioneer-era songs.
Jennifer hasn't been as busy this year. However, she did bring a new addition into our home this spring. Hannah Elisabeth was born the beginning of March after a much quicker labor than Amelia's!
At church she is still the Young Women's Music Specialist. She's also volunteered her talents on the Food Storage Committee and types the monthly recipes that are distributed to the ward. She makes all of our bread (100% home-ground wheat) and even cloth-diapers Hannah part-time.
Amelia is doing great. She's finally decided to potty train, and she's doing quite well. She loves children of all ages, and automatically assumes they are either her cousins or her friends. Amelia is very social and outgoing. She's tall for her age and is already wearing size 4T. She loves her sister and is always playing with her.
Hannah's had a rough start to life. She had reflux when she was born, and she actually stopped breathing when she was 8 days old. It was Jennifer's first 911 call. But since then, she's been really healthy. Unfortunately, she's lost a little weight, so we're trying to feed her as often as possible. She's just started sitting up from her tummy and she scoots all over the house. She's even learned to wave "bye-bye" and "hi." We're trying to get her to smile to people other than mom, dad, and Amelia!
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
