The Young Guns are a band on the edge. The cutting edge, of country music. Sweeping across the Oklahoma Prairie like an out-of-control twister The Young Guns exploded onto the Oklahoma country music scene in February of 1991.
The Young Guns were formed in Norman, Oklahoma and the members have opened for Steve Wariner, Earl Thomas Conley and Shenandoah.
Their distinct style, while somewhat off the beaten path, is good. Diversity is their trademark. This is not your typical "stand in one place and play" band. Their stage show is always an exciting and unpredictable experience.
Full-force guitar driven country and a balance of steady rhythm foundations compliment irresistable vocals that invite the listener into their world. This is the ultimate good time band. Says Drummer Jaime Allen when asked about the bands goals, "We've accomplished just about everything we set out to do and now we are ready to take it to the next level."
With a state-of-the-art sound system and ability to get a crowd involved and keep them involved, The Young Guns have earned a reputation as a number one drawing country rock band on the Oklahoma country music scene.
