My Family
My daddy, Claude Gunn, went home to Heaven in February of 2000. He was originally from Alabama and was born in 1919. He was married to a sweet lady named Pat before he was married to my mom and they had four daughters: my older half-sisters, Sherrye and Sandi and also two infant daughter who died due to the Rh factor.
My mom is Sylvia Jean. Together with my dad, she had four kids: Sammy, Tony, my twin sister, and myself. My twin sister died when we were four days old because she was too little to survive. We were born 3 months premature. I stayed in the hospital for 3 months before getting to go home and was sick a lot during my early childhood.
I am very blessed to have 14 nieces and nephews. Being "Aunt Ava" is one of my most favorite things in the world! Because I have two older half-sisters, I have two "generations" of nieces and nephews. My sisters' children range in age from being one year younger than me to being 8 years older than me. And, no, none of them call me Aunt Ava! Some of them have children which are Logan (age 11), Todd (age 7), and Morgan (age 1-1/2). I have also acquired some new steps: 13-year-old Travis and 6-year-old Presley whom I have yet to meet. My brother Tony has two children: Austin (6) and Kaylee Jean (4).
My brother Sammy has a web site called Gunn's Auto World. He loves cars and things.
My sister Sherrye has a web site: Sherrye's Web Site. She has just started it.
My sister-in-law April is starting a new ladies and children's boutique called The Cotton Ginny in Greenville, AL.
You can visit my Family and Genealogy Site if you like. It is horribly neglected. Maybe one day I will have time to work on it.
