LACE SPIDER

Tatted Spider Pattern

The spider has 2 sets of three joined rings inside the outline of the body. While the floating chains referred to are not Split Chains, split chains can be used in their place. The floating chains are made by working with just the shuttle you are using as the ball thread. You measure out a given distance along the thread (size 10, 1 inch / 2 1/2 cm : size 80, 1/2 inch / 1 1/4 cm), and at that point start tatting back along the thread, working the same as you would for the second half of a split ring, (not transferring the knots to the other thread). With that explanation out of the way, here goes the pattern.

Thanks for this pattern go out to Lyn Hodges. Tell her how well you like it.
