Serena Kay Childress, 15, Route 2, Gladys died Saturday evening.
Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Ronnie L. and Vera Callahan Childress, Gladys. She was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church and was a student at William Campbell High School. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Rodney L. Childress and Calvin S. Childress and two sisters, Mrs. Deborah C. Seamster and Miss Cynthia F. Childress, all of Gladys; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis E. Childress, Brookneal and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Clara C. Callahan, Gladys. She was also the granddaughter of the late Alvin Callahan.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 13, at Swan Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. W. S. Wallace, Dr. Wayne Sterling and the Rev. Mike Spence. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the residence, Route 2, Gladys.
