John Terry Callahan (Sankie)
Altavista, Dec. 18 - Funeral services for John Terry Callahan, 63, farmer, who died at his home near Gladys at 3:20 Wednesday morning were conducted at the grave in the family cemetery this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mr. Callahan had been ill for six years.
Born in Campbell County he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Callahan and was a member of Bethel Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. betty King Callahan, three daughters, Misses Christine Callahan, Evelyn Callahan and Ruth Callahan of Gladys; five sons, Edward Callahan, Riley Callahan and Tommy Callahan of Gladys, Luther Callahan, stationed in Florida and Johnny Callahan, in the service over seas, three sisters, Mrs. Fletcher Robertson and Miss Lizzie Callahan of Gladys and two brothers, W. W. Callahan and J. W. Callahan of Gladys.
