The Texas chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution came to be named for this Pennsylvania patriot because four of his descendants were charter members when it was organized March 6, 1906. The Chapter builds its programs around the objectives of the National Society, which are historical, educational and patriotic. On December 8, 1909 the chapter received it’s charter. The William Findley Chapter, NSDAR was the 13th chapter to organize in the State of Texas.
