The Fairfield Christian Group

"In Gear For Christ!"

The Fairfield Christian Group is a fellowship group, made up of employees from a factory in Lafayette Indiana, and their families. Late in 1992, a few Christians within the factory agreed that if we are called to let our light shine before men (Matt 5:16), then the factory should feel the impact of our presence there, and God should be glorified by the fruit that we bear (John 15:8).

In January of 1993, we had our first meeting, established goals, and scheduled regular meeting times for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Since that time, we have grown together, strengthened one another, and reached out to our fellow man in the name of Christ.

We consider our group to be a success, not so much because of the impact that we have made upon the secular community in our workplace, but because of the impact its had on the lives of those people involved in the group. There's a deep sense of camaraderie that develops between believers when they acknowledge their faith in Christ in their everyday public life, supported by others striving to do the same. And there's a refreshing security in knowing that you're not alone out there, and being reminded of it by the presence of fellow Christians. "Iron sharpeneth Iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17.

Hebrews 10:24 encourages us to provoke one another to love and good works. More than once a member of our group has been inspired to take a step in faith, by the actions of another member of the group. We hope that you might be inspired by this website to develop your own fellowship group at your workplace, or help someone else who may be struggling in that area.

Philippians 2:15 "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;" In Jesus' name, amen.
