This picture of me was taken in July of 1998, while I was in Eureka Springs, Arkansas enjoying a wonderful vacation in the Ozarks. I had never operated a motorscooter and it was a LOT of fun! It made me realize there are so many wonderful things I want to do, some I haven't even realized yet, and that I had better start planning! I encourage you to try something new regularly. Time is flying right by!

This is Heather and her husband Brad. They live and work in the Kansas City area. Heather is a full time mom now. Brad works for a communications company. Heather graduated in 1993 from Illinois Wesleyan University with a BFA in Theatre Arts. In addition to being a mommy, Heather's activities include singing, writing, adoring their funny cat, Oscar, traveling, being with friends, rollerblading, bicycling, camping, hiking, shopping, and enjoying the many offerings of Kansas City. She is beautiful inside and out and I am learning from her to get organized, stay calm, be in authentic communication, and take things one step at a time.

Here is my son, Abram. He graduated from MIU (now named MUM) in 1994 and is co-director of the multimedia department and a graphic designer with Technisonic Studios in St.Louis, Missouri. He plays bass guitar, composes music, and enjoys his band, computers, rollerblading, skiing, reading, photography and his shy cat, Sydney. He also is a private pilot. Abram is a very special sort of guy. He is extremely smart, friendly, sensible, and big-hearted. I am learning from Abram to not get caught up in petty worries and to let my heart guide me.

My daughter Meredith graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois in May of 1997. She majored in Theater Performance and Art. (Her brother Abram took this photograph.) Meredith also lives and works in Chicago, Illinois and has a beautiful cat named Gretchen. She is involved in theater in Chicago, and likes to rock climb, play volleyball, rollerblade, camp, dance, travel, sing, paint (many types of painting from faux painting to fine art), and has a wonderful sense of humor. Meredith is a deep thinker. She is very sensitive, caring, and super creative. She loves to laugh, be goofy and have fun. I am learning from Meredith to be spontaneous, even outrageous, and to enjoy!!!

This is Noah. He graduated in July 1999 with a BFA from Maharishi University of Management (MUM) here in Fairfield, majoring in video, digital technology, computer graphics and drama. Noah is married to his long-time sweetheart, Celeste. He enjoys playing on the MUM outdoor and indoor soccer club teams, and likes to act, juggle, sing, dance, coach drama classes, and help other people. Noah has taught juggling and clowning and now works manager of the IT department for an international gift-set company in Fairfield called Polar Dreams. He travels frequently and has been to China 25 times! Noah is funny, creative, talented and has a very even, calm nature. He has been an important influence in my life. I am learning from him to look at the big picture of life and to trust my instincts.

Here they are together in 1995. What a fine bunch. Being only two years apart in age, these four have always been close knit and an important part of each other's lives. I am a very fortunate woman to have been blessed to be their mother and the grandmother of their wonderful children. Directory

This is me at 8 years of age! From Kindergarten until grade 7, I went to a one room country school here in Iowa. It was a precious time, filled with goodness and fun. At the time of this photo my whole life lay in front of me.... and what a wonderful life it has been!

This is my Mom and Dad. I took this picture on a vacation we took together to Arizona, California and Utah. My Dad passed away in 1999 but he is still very alive in the hearts and deeds of his family and I am so fortunate to have had many special times like this with him. Mom passed away in 2003. I was glad to be able to spend much of her last year with her. We enjoyed hours and hours of card games and conversation.

The family farm near Newton, Iowa, where I lived as a girl, is now worked by a good neighbor and friend who is following in Dad's footsteps to use the land wisely and well. I was fortunate to have had absolutely wonderful parents and a childhood with so many good things in it. Can't you just see what a sweet couple they were? Directory

This is our family the day of Meredith's Graduation from Illinois Wesleyan University back on May 4, 1997. That's me, Meredith, her dad, Paul and brother Abram in back and Noah and Heather in the front. I am very proud of my family. Directory

The GREEN Wisconsin countryside and a picture of Heather with her husband Brad. He is a terrific addition to our family as of May, 2000.

Here you see Abram and Meredith at the top of the ferris wheel at Navy Pier in Chicago one summer. It was a great day - perfect weather, perfect activities and perfect dispositions. I hope to share many more like that with my family in the years to come. Below: Noah and Celeste at their wedding. This first dance was quite a moment and one I will never forget. Directory
