The FitzRandolph family is one of the oldest European families in the U.S.
and can trace its roots to the French, Norman, English and Scottish Royal families.
Included amoung their direct ancestors are at least 4 Saints, 3 Holy Roman
Emperors, 7 Kings and various Earls, Counts and Dukes.
It is beyond the present scope of this site
to add a comprehensive database on the Royal connections but you will find a

past 800A.D. contain mythical personages and are not considered historicaly
accurate with the exeption of Charlemagne's line which is proven back as far
as Duke Baudise II during the mid-500s A.D.).

married (10may1637) Elizabeth Blossom (1620 Leydon, Holland - 1713 NJ), daughter of Thomas Blossom (c.1580-1633) and Ann Heldson/Heilson
Some sources say Edward arrived in 1634 on the Griffin. Others say with the Winthrop Fleet in 1630.
Elizabeth arrived in Salem in 1629 on the second sailing of the Mayflower
with her parents. They had originaly been on the Speedwell when it accompanied the first
sailing of the Mayflower, but when the Speedwell required repairs shortly into
the voyage, both ships returned to port. The Mayflower then sailed alone on it's
historic voyage.

A note on surname changes: before surnames were established, people
in this family were refered to as "Fitz" (son of), ie. John FitzRandall (John
son of Randall). At the time surnames were being established FitzRandolph
became fixed as the family name.
