Hello...Welcome to my web page! Here's a little about myself.
My name is Caren Heather Kirkpatrick, though I often go by the
name Heather. I live in North Syracuse, New York with my husband,
Dan Kirkpatrick.
We have a beautiful baby girl (born September 30, 1997).
I graduated from Potsdam College
in May 1994 with a B.A. in Geology. Since then I worked for CME Associates,
Inc., an Engineering Firm and Testing Laboratory as a geologist.
Right now I am enjoying motherhood and not working right now.
I have been a vegetarian since 1989. My Mom, Dad, and two brothers
also became vegetarians. My Dad and I became vegans after reading various
literature on the cruelty of animal factory farming. My diet has gone through
many transformations, but currently I have reintroduced dairy products
into my diet. I am continually learning many delicious recipes from my
mom, Donna Jewett, who is excellent cook by the way. I use all types
of vegetarian products in my cooking such as tofu, seitan (say-tan), tempeh
(tem-pay) and Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP). I like to add zest
and spice to my meals...I like my food to taste like food!
