Homosexuality

Let me make one thing perfectly clear – God loves gay people.
But, He hates the sin of homosexuality.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" (Matthew 7:21-23)
"Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood." (Revelation 22:15)
Homosexual believers are betting their souls that homosexuality is "not" a sin. They stand against thousands of years of Biblical and theological studies, the mass majority of Bible students today, the simple, straight forward, plain interpretation of the Bible and the testimonies of countless Christians who were once homosexuals and now are born-again, rehabilitated, heterosexual Christians. While all this stands against them they continue to deny it .
Anyone who reads the Bible can clearly see that the Bible condemns homosexuality. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah reveals God's wrath against homosexuality. Leviticus 20:13 is the punishment God commanded Moses to teach Israel to enforce upon homosexual offenders. Romans 1 describes those who are corrupted with homosexuality as a result of turning away from God's righteousness. And 1 Corinthians 6:9 is the verse that indicates their exclusion from God's righteous Kingdom. There is no debate on what these verses mean. They clearly speak against homosexuality.
Homosexuals who profess to be Christians go to great length in writing long essays, books and whole web sites in attempt to challenge the biblical evidence. They feel confident that they're right and the huge majority of God's people who oppose them are "wrong." However, it really doesn't matter what they say, I say, any other Christian or person says. What matters is what God says. The Bible is God’s Word and it says homosexuality is sin and will be punished if it is not repented of.
Romans chapter 1 gives a clear illustration of how one can intentionally turn away from the truth of righteousness to falsehood in order to dodge the bullet of conviction and the feeling of accountability. This is EXACTLY what the homosexual "Christians" do. This passage is about men and women forsaking their natural sexual instinct for homosexual abominations.
Now let's begin at verse 18:
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
Here we notice that there is an unavoidable conviction of God's anger toward what is evil. It is "revealed from heaven against ALL the godlessness and wickedness" so that only by suppressing the truth can one attempt to avoid this conviction.
19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
Notice that it says the truth is "plain to them."
20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-- his eternal power and divine nature-- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Although they believe in Christ, the proof that these people have not turned to glorify God is that we find them willing to continue in their sin. God says that in His New Covenant, "I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people." (Hebrews 8:10) These people don't know God or else they would have His laws "in their minds" and "on their hearts." Instead "their thinking became futile." They think their creator meant for them to be homosexual because "their foolish hearts were darkened." Yet there remains a deep-seated conviction of the living God's presence which can only be extinguished by "suppressing the truth."
22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to SEXUAL IMPURITY for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie,
It seems God's ways weren't pleasant for these people so God stepped aside to let them have at it. Now, to avoid any conviction, they "exchange the truth of God for a lie". This way they can feel at ease with their sin and believe the one they worship created them
homosexual and doesn't care how they live in the body He created for them.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
He describes these lusts as being "shameful." Again, God implanted this conviction before they decided to turn away "so that men are without excuse" (Rom 1:20). Now that "their thinking became futile" (Rom 1:21), their conscience has become corrupted and their behavior is (in Hebrew) something disgusting, an abhorrence.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
Understand here that when one rejects God's righteousness, that person rejects God. They come to a fork in the road and chose to go with their desires rather than down the
narrow road of righteousness because they did not take God's commands seriously. When Jesus says, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it" (Matt 7:13), He is in essence saying that there is not much liberty to do as you please in righteousness. It is narrow and doesn't leave much room for alternatives because the only alternative from righteousness is sin. He describes the other road as being wide because it allows one to be, for example, a
homosexual.
29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Paul reaches this solid conclusion after examining and describing in depth how one turns away from God. These last four verses describe the result of an individual who turns away from righteousness. It doesn't matter to what degree a person is sinful; we are all sinful. We find each of these traits to some degree in us because at one time we were apart from God and built a life of sinfulness.
Homosexuals are those who have gone their own sinful way and refuse to turn to righteousness. They have NO relationship whatsoever with Christ Jesus because they have turned away from their conscience. Those who walk with Jesus are convicted of sin and live in the Spirit. Anyone who knows God learns from God that homosexuality is a behavior that God will judge and punish if it is not repented of. "It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them." (2Peter 2:21)
Again, hear me! God loves the homosexual. He just hates the sin.
God condemns homosexuality. Throughout the ages, God has used true Biblical stories, His law, epistles and countless testimonies of conversion and rehabilitation from
homosexuality to make His point. God's Word can't be more explicit in it's
condemnation of homosexuality when it uses the phrase "a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman" (Lev 20:13) and "women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men," (Rom 1:26-27) and the term "homosexual offenders" (I Cor 6:9) and "homosexuals" (1 Timothy 1:9). Each of these verses reveal how God feels about homosexuality. He told Moses to tell Israel to enforce the death penalty on homosexual offenders. Paul describes it as something done by those who have rejected God's righteousness and also warns us not to be deceived into thinking these people can inherit God's righteous Kingdom.
ADAM AND EVE
God created us male and female for the purpose of reproducing and establishing a fully sufficient, organized family where the man and the woman have certain separate responsibilities which, when fulfilled, function to uphold the family as a working
system. Whenever this organization of marriage, which God designed in and for perfection, is purposely altered and thus violated, it is unrighteous and abominable. After all, what is righteous but that which is right. Homosexuality is NOT right.
Jesus testifies that, "at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.' 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one." (Mark 10:6-8) Jesus is saying here that in the beginning, God did a good job of putting things together. Now however, the homosexuals have messed things up. Instead of pursuing natural sexual relations, they
prefer to go their own way and pervert God's righteousness.
SODOM AND GOMORRA (GENESIS 18-19)
God sent His wrath against a city where homosexual men attempted to rape two of His angels.
Homosexual Excuses:
1) Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for inhospitality and because the men wanted to rape the angels.
2) The word "yada" (which means "to know") simply means that the inhabitants of Sodom only wanted to get to know the angels since they were foreigners yet were abusive in the process.
Straight Forward Interpretation:
Deuteronomy 29:23, Isaiah 1:9, Jeremiah 23:14, Lamentations 4:6, Ezekiel 16:48-50, Amos 4:11, Zephaniah 2:9, Matthew 10:15 / Luke 10:12, Luke 17:29, Romans 9:29, Revelation 11:8
Pride is when Sodomites refuse to see their repulsive sin for what it is which in turn would cause them to see themselves in disgust. This point of disgust is supposed to lead one to repentance which leads to salvation. So the men of Sodom and the homosexuals today (who refuse to repent) are prideful.
Lev. 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." (NKJV)
Lev. 20:13 "If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them." (NKJV)
The Hebrew word for abomination is (tow` ebah) which means nothing other than:
Strong's Hebrew Dictionary (Context highlighted) Feminine active participle of "ta'ab"; properly, something disgusting (morally), i.e. (as noun) an abhorrence; especially idolatry or (concretely) an idol:
Thayer's Dictionary (Context highlighted) a disgusting thing, abomination, abominable
Homosexual Excuses:
"The word 'toevah' does not usually signify something intrinsically evil, like rape or theft, but something which is ritually unclean for Jews, involving ethnic contamination or idolatry"
The death penalty for this sin may seem "extreme" to those who do not understand the 2nd purpose of the law. The spiritual purpose of the law is to convict us of sin and show us that we are depraved sinners. However, the penalty that follows the law is a judgment call by God based upon how he feels the sin ought to be condemned for the well-being of the community. It is God's judgment that a homosexual offense should be penalized by death for the well-being of the community. We find that if a community like Sodom has homosexuals perverting God's righteousness in it, they suffer a lack of God's blessing and possible condemnation. The death penalty is also the measure God feels should be given to murderers for the sake of the community. When we allow murderers to sit in an air-conditioned prison, lift weights and watch cable for several years with the hope that that person will be rehabilitated, that is a human's judgment call. The difference is that God's judgment is perfect. When we find the same criminals committing the same crimes they did before they went to prison, why do we keep using the same system? God's measures may be "extreme" to some but overall they do a better job to fix a problem than any
human can come up with. Why not figure, since God is omniscient, that He knows how things work and may just have a better way of doing things than we do.
Biblical laws have been enforced in many Christian nations since the Holy Roman Empire which was the first empire to be established on Christian principles. There is evidence that in many cases homosexuals were put to death to purge their nation of that immorality. Now when we look back and examine history, we find that the nations that enforced Biblical laws reaped what they sowed. They were blessed beyond all other nations due to their Godly judicial system. They had more peaceful, God-fearing societies, which excelled in science and technology and had a much higher standard of living than other nations that were either too harsh or not harsh enough in disciplining its citizens.
The apostles didn't carry stones around and preach the law. Their aim was to bring sinners to repentance. So also, our goal as Christians is to love the homosexuals and try to lead them to Christ yet NEVER tolerate their sin. As we lead people to Christ, our legal system will reflect how well our nation follows God.
ROMANS 1
Homosexual Excuses:
"Romans 1 does not paint a picture of people who were naturally homosexual engaging in loving consensual sex rather they were heterosexual who "abandoned" their nature (heterosexuality) for perverse pagan sex acts. The verses support the fact they were heterosexuals acting out of defiance by stating the woman EXCHANGED natural relations for unnatural and men ABANDONED natural relations with women and were INFLAMED with lust for one another. As a homosexual, it is natural to engage in love and sex with the same gender, but it would be unnatural for a heterosexual to do so. These men and women were heterosexual who were engaging in unnatural (for them) acts in paganistic settings. "
CHRISTIANITY AND HOMOSEXUALITY
Alcoholics and drug addicts have a "natural" feeling to keep using their drug of choice but does that excuse them from their sin? No, it means that person is a sinner and needs Christ's redemption.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:9 and 1 TIMOTHY 1:10
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Cor 6:9-10) (NIV)
In 1 Corinthians 6:9, Paul sounds a warning for Christians to not be deceived by those who live the perverted homosexual lifestyle and claim to be followers of our Lord. He tells us that "the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God." Presumably from verse 11, this does not include the homosexual who repents and maybe (with New Testament theology like Romans 7:14-23), while struggling to overcome the sin, is continually tempted by it.
Homosexual Excuses:
"Are believers in Jesus Christ ever referred to as "the wicked"? NO!!!. This passage is not addressing Christians rather it is addressing unbelievers. Regardless of what one does or does not do if they reject Jesus Christ they will not enter the kingdom of heaven. The passage lists "homosexual offenders" - who are they, are they all homosexuals. No. There are homosexual offenders as well as heterosexual offenders. These are the people who go
beyond the bounds of decency and engage in acts of sex that degrade, humiliate, violate, or hurt themselves or others. Remember our bodies are a temple of God and what we do to our bodies we do to His temple."
CHRISTIANITY AND HOMOSEXUALITY
This is the same genius above that tries to say Romans 1 refers to those who were heterosexual yet "abandoned" hetero and went homo. Here he says that as long as you "just believe" for a second in Jesus Christ, you aren't "wicked" (NIV says "unrighteous"). "But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin." (Gal 3:22) Whether we're saved or unsaved, we're still unrighteous, wicked sinners. And only the repentant
sinner can be forgiven and improve his/her life by the power of God's Holy Spirit.
In 1 Tim 1:8-11, Paul testifies that the law is made "for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners...for sodomites..." Those who see their sin and repent, "agree that the law is good." (Rom 7:16) Thus the law is removed in Christ Jesus and does not threaten them with a curse or condemnation.
(Rom 8:1) But to those who oppose the law, the law stands against them as a testimony against that person so that when God's wrath is revealed, they will be "without excuse" (Rom 1:20).
Conclusion
So we find the homosexual "Christians" with no excuse for not repenting and turning away from what God hates.
To believe in Jesus as you savior is to accept Him entirely; which includes how He feels about the sin of homosexuality. Christ didn't spill His blood out on the cross to give anyone the right to deliberately go on sinning. "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God."
(Hebrews 10:26-27) Jesus will only save the repentant sinner from sin; not with sin. The requirement for forgiveness is repentance. Once we see ourselves as unworthy before God and accept His Son's death for our sins, God calls us worthy only by the blood of Christ.
