Heavenly Father

I come to you and only you as my God.

I, because of my sins and actions,
 am unworthy of your love, your forgiveness and your presence.
I am unable, by any works or powers of my own to receive your forgiveness
 and blessing of eternal life in heaven.



You have sent me your word, the Bible, divinely inspired, true and without error.

I have read about my savior Jesus Christ.
How he was born of a virgin, lived a pure and sin free life,
told us of your love, and your promises.
  Then how he was humiliated, falsely convicted, nailed to a cross to die.
  And finally how he arose from his grave to live again
 and be at your side to rule with you and await the day of his glorious return to us.
All of this for the purpose of giving us the one and only means to atone
 for our sins, to receive your forgiveness and blessings,
 and your promise of life in your presence for eternity.



I have felt your wonderful love for me.
  I have seen that though you love me so much, you will not force yourself on me,
 but instead allow me to choose to accept you
 through belief by faith in my Savior Jesus Christ, or to reject you.



Father, I accept.
  With total faith, I believe Jesus Christ was born,
 lived, died on the cross, was resurrected,
 and lives today and that my sins have been cleansed, washed away, and forgiven.
  I know I have already died at the cross with Jesus,
 never to fear death again, and that I will be with you for eternity.

As God my father,
 you love me, protect me, forgive me and await me in heaven.

As God the Son,
 you gave all that you had for me that I have
 the one and only way to come to you and receive your salvation.

As God the Holy Spirit
 you reside within me leading me, comforting me, calling me to service,
 and blessing my life as no other can. 

I have looked, and I have seen.  I have listened and I have heard.

I acknowledge you in all that I do,
 I praise you,
 I worship you,
 I love you
 and I thank you for all that you are.

In Jesus name I pray.
