Welcome to Vince's GPS/Geocaching Page

I first found out about Geocaching while reading an article from USA Today.
It was about a relative new hobby called Geocaching and a web site by the same name Geocaching.com
As a Garmin GPS III+ owner, I was interested in the web site and this new hobby.
By using a Global Positioning Satellite (or System) receiver (GPSR) and the information provided at Geocaching.com, one is able to locate caches hidden around the world.
So far I have located the following caches:

White Cypress
This was my first cach find. I did not take anything, but left a keychain made from parachute cord.
Ran into two other geocachers and the cach owner.
Johnson SP
This cach involved a little hiking. Ran into the same two cachers
Left a Sonic Burger Kids' meal toy (a lizard in a pet carrier). Took a yo-yo.

The next four were done one my birthday:

Home Run
This one took a few minutes to locate since I kept going round in circles while in the woods. Left one of my hand made key chains.
Bubba's Not Home
This one was straight forward. It was exactly were the coordinates said it would be.
Took aracket ball. Left a toy from Sonic.
Into the Noisy Woods
My wife and son joined me on this one. It took awhile since I had problems locating it.
Took a Hot Wheels car for my son. Left racket ball.
595a
This one was quickly found once I used my head and thought like someone finding a cache.

This is an ever-expanding page.
