PRAYER BEFORE WORSHIP
Dear God, so many people in our world do not know you. Yet in your Word you have revealed who you are. You have described yourself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Give me a childlike faith to believe in you and a humble reason to search the Scriptures to know more about you. Amen.

DISTRICT CONVENTION
Pastor Gibbons and Bill Hayes will be in Saginaw Tuesday through Thursday for the Michigan District Convention to be held at Michigan Lutheran Seminary. Please keep all of our district leaders in your prayers.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
Summer office hours will begin on Tuesday, June 6. The secretary will be in the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Summer.

ALTAR FLOWER ORDERS
Please place your orders for altar flowers by Tuesday instead of Thursday during the Summer.

SUMMER EVENING WORSHIP
Remember that we will once again have Thursday evening worship services at 7:30 p.m. beginning June 15 and extending through Labor Day. If you are going to be gone for the weekend or just enjoy an evening service, please take the time to be refreshed with Word and Sacrament.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
We will be having Vacation Bible School Sunday, June 18 through Thursday, June 22 from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. each evening. Or Vacation Bible School will have something for all ages including adults. There will be Bible study, singing, and refreshments. The children will be working on crafts. Sign-up forms have bee mailed with the newsletters. Please return your form to us by June 11 if possible. You can mail it, bring it to church, or call the church office to register. Even if you can't make it every evening, come when you can. The final evening will be topped off with a worship service and our Eighth Annual VBS Ice Cream Social. We hope to see you and your family there. We need all kinds of help in many areas. CALL DAY ASSIGNMENT
Call Day assignments for teachers from Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary are here. Copies can be picked up in the narthexor viewed on our Synod's website, www.wels.net. We pray that God will bless all of our graduates and congregations!

HAWK TALK
Did you know that Huroin Valley Lutheran High School's Clas of 2006 is graduating today at 2:00 p.m.? This will be the first class to use the new gymnasium for a commencement worship service. The Valedictorian is Jacob Ficken and the Salutatorian is Lindsey Pyle. Pastor Mark Kipfmiller from St. Mark's, Flat Rock, will be preaching. This year there will be 22 graduating seniors.
