Notes for Samuel SMITHERMAN

Samuel arrived in America in 1744 aboard the ship Justitia. He married a
woman named Sarah, and is found in 1782 Fairfax Co. VA census report, a free
man with 6 children in his family. 1784 Fairfax Co. VA tax records, Book O,
1784 Conveyance Records, Fairfax Co. VA shows property purchased by Samuel
and Sarah. (from Leoma Smotherman letter of 4/15/87)
Samuel is also listed in the Fairfax Co. VA 1785 census list.
