The seeds that I plant
Like I said before, I really like The Pinetree Seed Company.
Currently, only seeds from Pinetree are in my garden.
- #203 Pinetree Lettuce Mix
- #32 Early Wonder Beets
- #301 Cherry Belle Radishes
- #73 Little Finger Carrots
- #330 Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach
- #95 Fordhook Swiss Chard
- #34 Burpee's Golden Beets
- #263 Sugar Ann Snap Peas
- #656 Sophia Mix Marigold
The Pinetree Lettuce Mix was a great success last year. As
you can see, I have chosen several different Pinetree Mixes this
year. I loved the different colors of lettuces. The Little
Finger Carrots were something we ate straight from the garden
most of the time, as were the Cherry Belle Radishes.
I use intensive gardening methods and many of the vegetables
listed above will be planted again once a month during our cool
vegetable planting season, which is roughly September through
March.
I love poring over the seed catalog and boy, could I ever
spend a few hundred dollars in seeds, books, gardening tools.
And no, I don't work for Pinetree.
Here are the seeds I plan to buy and plant in the
future.
In the past I have tried to use only heirloom seeds,
but since I never seem to save the seeds, I am going to try some
more hybrids (indicated below by an H) this year, along with
heirlooms. Also seeds with (new) are those that I have never
tried.
