Our New VS-2: Some before and after pictures.

My Second, and most major Restoration.

As you can see from the "White Pictures", this treadle has been through some dramatic changes. I was concerned when we made the decision to get the machine as to what might be under the white paint. As you can see, most of the wood was in fairly good shape. Only a couple of areas had been abused with severe sanding. I haven't attempted to cover up these two areas yet, but am forming a plan of attack.

The Leaf on the left side of the table was in very bad shape, missing veneer etc. I've elected to remove the old veneer and apply new. The challenge will be to locate something that is similar in grain, and then get the colors to match. Don't expect to see that change to the machine posted too soon.
