2 cups raw macaroni
2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded swiss cheese
1 cup diced, cooked ham
1 cup seasoned croutons
1 tomato, cut in wedges
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender and drain. Melt butter
in saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in flour and seasonings. Gradually
stir in milk. Return to heat and cook over from heat. Mix cheeses together
and reserve 3/4 cup of cheese mixture for topping. Add remaining cheese
to sauce and stir until melted. Combine macaroni, ham and cheese sauce
together in casserole. Arrange croutons and tomato wedges on top. Sprinkle
with reserved cheese.
Bake uncovered at 375 for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and
croutons are browned.
