Here are Aunt Bunny Fink's recollections:
You are absolutely right in your identifications. I probably took those pictures. They were taken in Carlsbad Springs, where Goldie came every summer with her children, and "adopted" Hynda and me. WE had to swallow cod liver oil every morning WITHOUT A GRIMACE so "those four" would follow suit. This was before the hotel was built... we had this great big "summer house" where we spent the summers. After Sam z'l was being treated for hip-joint disease.. he was about two when he fell and then this developed, the doctors said he should spend the summer, at least, in the good old fresh country air. Ottawa, at that time, was no "east-side new york tenement district"... it was lovely lawns and gardens and streets were tunnels through overhanging huge leafy trees. But I guess it had outgrown the farms etc., so it was already a "city" with the attendant pollution???
As for the "grown-up picture"... that was taken in my living room on Labadie Street in Montreal, and it had to be 1950 because we sold the house and left for L.A. Calif. early in 1951. In fact, I flew to Calif with Esther z'l and Zal, and Gabe drove out with honeymooners Bayla and Dick z'l!!! I shall hunt up the snaps I have of early family, and bring them along, P.G. I well remember the evening we took the picture, and probably several others besides.
