I have once ran after Mel's car & got a picture of him...it's fabulous! And 2 weeks ago he was filming on the other side of my boyfriend's apartment. Of course I got there as he was leaving, but I did get 10 feet from him again. (I'm not a psycho fan, but it's neat seeing celebs on film, in person). Especially Mel.

Hey, I'm a 16 year old female from England, and am a dedicated Mel Fan. My favorite movies by Mel are Forever Young, Ransom, and Brave Heart. I have always liked Mel. I raised Paint Horses for a while, and a fiend of mine told me that Mel owns one that I raised. I don't know for sure if that is true or not. I would like to know if he does. The horse I am refering to is Rhinestone Rocky. To the best of my knowledge t e gelding is now an APHA Champion. On february 2/1999 there was a live closed-door interview with Mel @ Much Music in Toronto, Canada. Aprox. 100 fans squeezed up against the tinted windows to the front and sides of the building to catch a glimpse. It was a 30 min. interview in which Mel s t on a stool opposite Bill W. He wore a brown leather jacket and appeared very nervous but gave a wonderful personable interview. At one point the press were angling to get their shot of our favourite star so they requested the fans to move back. These fa s are the most polite people I have ever seen. Anyways, all moved back except for one young woman who has the best seat in the house. She ignored the photographer and journalists. The photographer became frustrated and swore rudely at the young woman. Tha 's the press for you! She smiled and told them where to go... A hushed argument broke out between the photographer and the young lady and fans overheard them discussing the fact that she was a "friend" of the star's from up north??? Anyways, she departed arly while the rest of us ran to the front to watch Mel exit, wave, give a quick look around, then jump into his black van with his entourage. A friend of mine had taped the interview and I realized that Mel looked at the young blonde woman to his right c nstantly throughout the interview and even appeared to do a double-take when she appeared in the background. I was just wondering if anyone else saw the video or experienced the same event....

I was one of his first fans - people would say "Mel who?". I started way back with the first release of Mad Max. Over the years I have collected pictures and magazines from the late 70's to the present. I have some photos from the early years that I do not see here - I think he should also be remembered from the begining. I think it is wonderful what you and everyone has done with this site. Thanks for having a site devoted to MY favorite actor-Mel Gibson! This Mel (me-melody) thinks that Mel Gibson is the best actor ever. I've been a fan of his since the first Mad Max movie, and have seen every movie he's made. I loved Braveheart the most (read the book before I saw the movie, and cried while reading the book and seeing the movie)! Hi Lizzy, Thanks for the trivia quiz. I'll take a quick crack at this: 1- Mad Max: car crash - the last of the Interceptors intercepted. 2- Guy Hamilton: Rifle butt to the face. 3- Justin McCleod: fiery car crash. 4- (the only one I'm not sure of) Martin Riggs: kick in the face in LW2? It looks like the "Knocking on Heaven's Door" scene, in Roger's arms. If so, the face is the least of his problems. He's also been knifed in the leg and shot. 5- Martin Riggs: well, it's after she sees the "whole family of 44s" in his shoulder. But that's not what she's kissing. :-) Andrea L

There are some really nice photos of Mel on your page ... the quality is excellant! Wonder if you know that answer to two questions:
1. Why did Mel stop having an official fan club. 2. I heard of an article he wrote interviewing himself "Mel Gibson on Mel Gibson". I think it was in 1996. Do you know of this article? What magazine? I've been looking, and I'm going to keep looking u til I find it because I hear it really is funny ... in it, he portrays the interviewer, and then mocks himself ... can't wait to read it. This is a really good Mel page. I have been obsessing for a week and a half now, hours every day ... I thought I found every single web page on Mel ... decided to try HotBot, and used his full name ... that's how I found your page. Kinda too bad that "only" 4000 - 5000 people have found you ... this is a good page. You have some pictures I haven't seen before ... and believe me ... I've seen ALOT. He photographs so well, and so uniquely. Everything I've found indicates he is exactly what he seems to be ... one heck of a decent man, great work ethics, decent, hardworking, crazed, creative ... Something that startled me is the physical rigours of the movies he has made ... I'm reckoning he more than earns those big bucks ... hot sun, sand, freezing cold days doing take after take in ice cold water, injuries from stunts, working with pain and not letting on; crowds of people EVERYWHERE he goes, no privacy ... I mean, if we love him we should give him a break, don't you think? I don't know about an official web page ... I think he feels it's too self-promoting, and it's probably a whole lot of work to maintain. We got to give him his space and not burn him out, know what I mean. But anyway, you do really good work and I appreciate being about to look at this man, and the opportunity to say "Thanks" to you, too.
