I’ve used this idea before, but I think that it is so nice and elegant. This cake was for a Bat Mitzvah that was RIGHT after Pesach (Passover). Since Pesach ended on Thursday night, there was no way I would be ready to bake and decorate it in time. So I had to make it before Pesach and they froze it. I tried to stay away from dark colors, and they tend to run once you defrost the cake. The dark teal was to match the napkin they gave me.
