(Recognizing the Anti-Christ)

The Parable

 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

You do not have to travel far from the ploughed and sowed field of God's divine election and predestination, to discover the Enemy, for in its very midst there we find those who by their own effort have entered the field. They flew in carried on the wind of Delusion, to land in the midst of the field ploughed, and sowed with the chosen seed of God, watered by the blessed dew of heaven, and nurtured by the Divine Gardener. These Tares are full of their own boastings and efforts and are poisonous to those who taste of their fruits. The Servant of the householder must be well versed to recognize them.
 
 

In this warning from the Epistle of John we find the necessary parameters for establishing the Identity of the Anti Christ.
But how do we establish this, in a world that is currently full of differing sects and cults, many of which profess to preach Jesus? We may have attended conferences and seminars on the End Times and the coming of the Anti Christ, and yet still have no means of detecting whether we have been subjected to a falsehood or not. We may have been attracted by great signs and wonders and be completely deceived.

2 Thessalonians 2:9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Matthew 24:24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if  it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

The Lord Jesus Christ gives warning in the gospels of the seduction that should follow his ascension, and the various deceptions that will take place. In order to understand let us go back to Johns epistle and review his statements concerning the Anti Christ.
 
 

• There are many antichrists already in the world in this last time.
• Their deception is to deny the Messianic role of Jesus, and in doing this denies the words and truths of the Father and the Son.
• Their deception is to deny the Indwelling presence of Jesus Christ in his Body, which is the Church, or an outright flat denial of his existence and fulfillment of the prophecies concerning him. Many today acknowledge the presence of the Jesus in human history. Retrospectively we acknowledge the virgin birth of the messiah who is Emmanuel God With Us;, presently we acknowledge the Son of David on the Throne in the Kingdom of God which is within us.
• The antichrist is already present in the world and is not arriving at some later stage.

Firstly we must understand that the deception is in our midst already, and is attended by lying signs and wonders. How shall we discern the antichrists in the pulpits of the world? The apostle John gives us the major key to revealing these brute beasts.
 
 

How does one deny that Jesus is The Christ and still deceive many today. Firstly the denial would not be of Jesus, but of Jesus and his messianic role and fulfillment of the scripture. How can the deception be subtle that it could deceive the elect of God (if at all possible)? Such deception would require all the cunning and wiles of the Devil. In order to accomplish his task he would have to launch a counterfeit Christian movement and empower it with lying signs and wonders, at the same time Impersonate Christ with a counterfeit Anti Christ. His objective would be to gradually lead astray learned men, and subtly change the scripture in order to produce a highly plausible falsehood. And he would endeavor to lull his blinded followers into the acceptance of a doctrine that violates the prophecies and takes their eyes off of Christ and places them on the Anti Christ. In order to do this he would need to substitute the antichrist for Christ in the scripture and also the covenant of Christ with an antichrist covenant. This objective would make a mockery of all the prophecy surrounding the Lord Jesus Christ, and enable him to set up a counterfeit kingdom under the dominion of Babylon the mother of confusion. Her counterpart would be worldly status and wealth known as mammon.

Dear reader, you may be under the impression that this plot of Satan outlined above is not a reality.
 
 

 Let us verify this statement from the Scripture.

 Firstly what is the abomination of Desolation?

Matthew 24:15  Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand).
Mark 13:14  But when you see the abomination of desolation, that spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let him who reads understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Christ warns Israel (those who he is speaking to at the Time) to flee when they see this abomination, cautioning them to carefully understand the words of Daniel. Luke was one of those who understood what was being said and expounds this obscurity in his Gospel.

Luke 21:20  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luke 21:21  Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

The warning from our Messiah to his audience is exactly the same, and the action required is flight. But the difference is that in this Gospel, we discover that what is termed the Abomination of Desolation by Daniel the prophet in his discourse on the Seventy Weeks. This is in fact the Armies of Titus the Roman General, who would bring about the destruction of the Currently Standing Temple and the City, and not the placing of a Idol or otherwise in the Temple. For these armies would be visible to the citizens of Jerusalem at the Time, whereas an Image placed in the temple in the Holy of Holiest would only be visible to the Levitical Priesthood. Those outside the city in the Country round about (i.e.: the Small towns) were warned not to enter Jerusalem when they saw its imminent Destruction at hand. This would bring deliverance to those who heeded our Saviors words and fled leaving everything behind. As this Prophecy has been fulfilled after Daniel's 70th week there can be no future fulfillment after some mythical Gap between the 69 and 70th week of Daniel.
There is no historical record of Titus entering into a covenant with the priesthood or Herod for three and a half years before the destruction of the city either. So if the final event has already taken place how can the covenant in Daniel's 70th week be entered into afterwards, this would put the cart before the horse.

What Covenant was confirmed with many for one week before this event took place then, and what would cause the Sacrifice and oblation to cease?  The leading End Time Authors ascribe this covenant to the Anti Christ, but are they correct when it is absolutely certain that the Abomination of desolation is a Roman Army according to Luke. Herein lies the subtle twist that replaces Christ with the Anti Christ and spawns a grievous lie for the wolves to make merchandise with.

Before we proceed let us revisit the scripture of Daniel and attempt to expound it according to the Scripture, and as we have started with the Seventieth week we shall work through it backwards because we can only observe this fulfillment in history by looking back.
 
 

24  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. {finish: or, restrain} {make an...: or, seal up} {prophecy: Heb. prophet}
 

25  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. {be built...: Heb. return and be built} {wall: or, breach, or, ditch}  {troublous: Heb. strait of}

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. {but...: or, and shall have nothing} {desolations...: or, it shall be cut off by desolations}

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. {the covenant: or, a covenant} {for the...: or, with the abominable armies} {the desolate: or, the desolator}
 
 

The Romans accomplished the Desolation of Jerusalem, as The Lord Jesus warned Israel this would happen.
Matthew 22:
1  And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables, and said,
2  The kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who made a marriage for his son.
3  And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come.
4  Again he sent out other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage.
5  But not caring, they went their ways, one to his field, another to his trading.
6  And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them.
7 But when the king heard, he was angry. And he sent out his armies and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

So these armies were the armies of the Lord that would burn up Jerusalem after the fulfillment of Daniel's 70th week and cause it to become desolate, the Romans being the agency of the desolation. This Happened in Ad 70, after a 40-year probation period following the Crucifixion of Christ in the midst of the 70th week of Daniel. The destruction of Jerusalem was a consequence of their rejection of Christ. Please note that the seventy weeks has to do with Jerusalem and the children of Israel according to the Angel who spoke these words to Daniel. The central focus is the coming of the Messiah and their rejection of him and the consequence thereof.
 
 

Hebrews Chapter 10 verses 1 to 18
 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 

Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God.

 He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.  For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.  Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.  Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Christ comes as written in the volume of Daniel's book to fulfill the words of the angel to Daniel. And to replace the Covenant of the Law with the Everlasting covenant of Grace.

And every Covenant must be ratified by Blood, this required the Sacrifice of Gods only Begotten son and the Pouring out of his Life Blood as the Seal upon the new Covenant, thus replacing and putting an end to (causing to cease) the requirement for substitute sacrifice of an animal. The Lamb of God takes away the Sin of the World;. That which all the sacrifices of the law could not accomplish, Christ our Passover, our Redeemer from the Curse of the Law, accomplishes it in this act on the Cross of Calvary. The initial annunciation of John the Baptist declares Christ's work before he is baptized , that is to be the Lamb that will be Sacrificed to take away Israel's and our sin.
 

The Lord of Glory came to the Earth to Ratify the Everlasting Covenant by his Death Burial and Resurrection. His sacrificial Death removes every necessity for any form of animal or other sacrifice and hence when he said "IT IS FINISHED"; there was no longer any need to sacrifice another animal under the Law of Moses or the need to rebuild another Temple to re-institute a sacrificial system which would render his perfect sacrifice as only a partial work unable to cleanse Israel of her sins.  But these agents of the Anti Christ have twisted the scripture to rebuild another stone building to fulfil their Lie.

Mark 13:2  And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Acts 17:24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

1 Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
 

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Matthew 26:18  And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at  hand; I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples.

This specific Passover marks the confirming of the covenant and the Blessed Redeemer identifies it as his time in the midst of the Week.

John 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

How can anyone claiming to be a pastor and a light to the Blind twist the scripture to speak of the Anti Christ when our Advocate declares that they speak of HIM.

Why do you ask for any more proof of the veracity of the Angels Words to Daniel, for they Mark the Beginning and the Culmination of the Greatest Event in Human History, and not the Ignoble event of some fictitious advent after an indeterminable period.

Forty years prior to the destruction of the temple in the midst of the 70th week the Messiah with his Disciples as the representatives of Israel confirmed a covenant.

Mark 14:24  And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many

The covenant is confirmed in the words of the Lamb of God for many.  The Many of Daniel's Prophecy are the many of the covenant made by and ratified by the Lord Jesus Christ.  To twist this to be the Antichrist making a covenant with Israel after some mythical gap which now has run almost 2000 years which then is followed by a 36 month half week has no proof whatsoever in the divine cannon of the scripture. It is such a blatant lie for it makes Israel's Messiah the ANTICHRIST, how dare they use this sacred word spoken by an Angel which speaks of the Lord Jesus Christ and attribute it to the antichrist.

Hebrews 12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
 
 

At this point we are confronted with a question which very seriously affects the interpretation of the prophecy. Taking the words according to their apparent and obvious meaning (which should always be done except where there is a compelling reason to the contrary) it would seem quite clear that "the prince, " whose people were to destroy the city and the sanctuary, was Titus, the son of the then emperor Vespasian, he (Titus) being the "prince" or "leader" who was in actual command of those armies at the time. In fact we are bold to say that the words of the prophecy, which are the words of God sent directly from heaven to Daniel,  do not reasonably admit of any other interpretation. Nor, so far as we are aware, was any other meaning ever put upon them until within recent years, and then only by those belonging to a particular "school" of interpretation. According to the "school" referred to, the words "the prince that shall come" do not mean the prince who did come, and whose armies fulfilled this prophecy by destroying the city and the temple, but they mean some other "prince, " who in fact has not yet come, and who (of course) could have nothing whatever to do with the subject of the passage, to wit, the destruction of the city and the temple.";

"It is Here foretold that the people of the Prince that shall come shall be the interments of this destruction , that is the Roman armies , belonging to a monarchy yet to come.";

'The people of the prince--the Romans, led by Titus, the representative of the world power, ultimately to be transferred to Messiah, and so called by Messiah's title, "the Prince"; as also because sent by Him, as His instrument of judgment (#Mt 22:7)."; 

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 

Genesis 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Here in the book of beginnings we understand that to be cut off, means your separation from the human population through the agency of death, according to that which God has predestined for you.
Now please note that this cutting off takes place after the period of sixty two weeks, which follows the seven weeks ,which is the first period of time in the prophecy, in the third period of the prophecy, which any student of basic arithmetic can calculate as the seventieth week of Daniel.  The question remains how have these False prophets who cannot even use their fingers to count arrived at a mythical Gap between the 69th and Seventieth week, Is Christ's crucifixion still to take place in some indeterminate future date?

Luke 22:22  And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!
Daniel 9:24  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city

Acts 2:23  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Such a glaring oversight is found on page 134 of Clarence Larkins work Called Dispensational Truth. If you have this work of Fiction please look at the Chart and see where he places the seventieth week of Daniel, which for a man that cannot even count, and who has the audacity to call this rightly dividing the word of truth, must we abandon all our human intelligence in order to comprehend that the number following 69 is not really 70 but perhaps a million years may elapse before we can arrive at seventy.

Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Must I declare to this present Generation that the Messiah was cut off in the 70th week of Daniel? To those who will still cling to the Anti Christ lie, there is absolutely no hope for you, for you have rejected the Christ and replaced him with your covenant making Anti Christ in some indeterminate date in the future. 

If Christ called these blind Pharisees (religious Leaders) the thieves and robbers that come to steal kill and destroy, how much more these men who propagate this mythical Gap and are so blinded by deception, part of their company which are the sons of the serpent.

The Angel speaking to Daniel is Explicit in the timing of this event, it would be after 7 weeks to which must be added 62 weeks which equals 69 weeks, thus 483 years would elapse to the Messiah, which means anointed one. If we try to stretch this period to the triumphant entry we discover that the Angel supposedly erred because the appearance of the Messiah (Anointed one) had occurred at an earlier date when John baptised him in the River Jordan and the Holy Ghost alighted upon Him thus he becomes the Christ. So even their so-called precise date calculation is another Lie, for the Angel of the Lord cannot be wrong.

John 1:29  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. {taketh away: or, beareth}

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

After being led into the Wilderness Christ on his return declares that the 69th week is completed to Israel when he says the Time is fulfilled, so we have no need according to our infallible Saviour of trying to position the completion of the 69th week of Daniel elsewhere. Here is conclusive proof of the commencement of the Seventieth week, or shall we ignore this statement and place a mythical Gap and a stopped clock in between these periods and thus Deny Christ. For if you study Johns Gospel you will discover Calvary in the middle of the seventieth week.
 
 

Jeremiah 29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Daniel 9:2  In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem

Daniel had discovered before his angelic visitation that the period of Jeremiah's prophecy was at a culmination, Jerusalem was desolate and the Temple of Solomon lay in ruins. So Daniel set about praying to discover when God would fulfill his promise as recorded in the book of Jeremiah. He is rewarded with the time span that follows the Babylonian captivity and culminates the Jewish Dispensation.

There is a continued string of Events, as preordained in the courts of heaven, about to take place: Beginning with a commandment to restore and build Jerusalem, continuing to the Lord Jesus Christ's Baptism, and the confirmation of the everlasting covenant, followed by the desolation and destruction of Jerusalem and the dispersion of the natural Israel (Jacob's Trouble) after the Redemption of the Spiritual Israel. 

Daniel did not expect to hear of another desolation of his beloved city, for he thought it was now all over, but the sons of Jacob were still to complete their transgression by Crucifying the Messiah and Killing his disciples. In order to understand just who was to give this commandment which would end the seventy year dispersion and rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple according to the details given by the prophet Ezekiel as the master plan to fulfill God's purpose with Israel. We discover a person in the book of Isaiah who God had declared to be the envoy of this specific command before he was born. From the scripture we have no necessity to calculate some fictitious and erroneous date using a heathen chronology or a lunar calendar or an Egyptian year of 360 days, when God knows that a solar year is 365.25 days and is not confused thereby. And one must never underestimate the knowledge of Daniel of the times and seasons. For if anyone wants to be contentious let him take into account Roman calendar reform which caused one year to be 445 days long in order for the solstices to align. I trust that these date setters have taken these considerations into account when they use 360-day periods to calculate their dates using Julian years. But back to the infallible scripture to find whom was to declare the commandment, known to God before his birth.

Isaiah 44:28  That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid

Either we believe Isaiah or we run with the Anti Christ and his fancy dates to find who is to give the Command.

Ezra 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying:

Ezra 1:2  Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

According to the scribe Ezra it was Cyrus who gave the commandment, now let the entire world shut their mouths and behold the Glory of God in these Events. Cyrus is prophesied of before his birth that he would give the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem by Isaiah, Ezra records the fulfillment thereof at the end of Jeremiah's prophetic period of seventy years which was understood by Daniel the prophet who served in the court of Cyrus.

Israel's enemies, in the book of Ezra, who are complaining about what is taking place, confirm the veracity of God's Words.

Ezra 4:12  Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations.
Ezra 4:13  Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings.

Jehovah the Lord God of Israel had gone all the way, in declaring his timing as concerning these events. Thus he points Israel to the First Advent of Christ, at the Baptism of John, when he would anoint his only begotten son with the Holy Ghost and Power and declare him to be his beloved son, with a voice from Heaven.

Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

If even GOD the Father took the trouble to personally announce the arrival of the Messiah, in order for any Blinded Pharisee with just the minutest understanding of the Prophets to see, and also bearing witness to it with the visible sign of The Ever Blessed Holy Ghost, for only here can Jesus be correctly termed the Christos  (anointed one) Mashiach (Messiah),  for until then he was Jesus of Nazareth.

Acts 10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Acts 1:22  Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

If you are trapped in the current heresy, that makes the antichrist the covenant maker in the middle of the 70th week of Daniel? I suggest you repent and come out of Babylon, or hide yourself in the holes of the Earth, when our Glorious Covenant Making and Keeping Savior returns.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these  which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
 
 

Now that we have examined Daniel and expounded the events that took place, and seen its fulfillment in the Lord Jesus Christ, we shall examine how the Lie has been structured.

Why the Gap is the question, and how did this delusion begin?

The Primary reason is using the triumphant entry into Jerusalem by Christ on the Foal of an ass, being proclaimed as the Son of David, as the starting point to work back to the Commandment to restore and build Jerusalem. This would only leave a short period of time to the Crucifixion of Christ and thus the necessary three and a Half year gap (midst of the week) would not be visible.  This leads one to assume that Christ did not confirm the covenant, and from this error the tendency of the flesh would be to look for a later fulfillment. Instead of the admission that they had the wrong ending point of the 69th week they placed a indeterminate Gap to a future event. In order to compound the error they looked for a person other than Cyrus to be the one that issued the command to restore and build Jerusalem, in order to substantiate their error. Ignoring Calvary and the Last Supper as the means and ratification of the Covenant of God through his Son the mediator of this covenant., which took place approximately four days Later, so here the middle of the week would no longer be three and a half years . So this reasoning led to the assumption of the appearance of the Antichrist. Now to all intents and purposes they ignored the 4 days of their 70th week and placed the beginning of it somewhere in the future by stopping God's Clock.

 In order for there to be a sacrifice and a oblation in the seventieth week, they skipped the Perfect Sacrifice which ended it, and attributed it to the rebuilding of the temple and the reinstitution of the mosaic Law after the rapture of the church. With some dexterity they applied it to the prophetic time periods of the book of revelation.

 In Christian circles their are still discussions regarding the actual time of Christ's Birth and the Year it took place , so any Date calculations based with the wrong starting points would ultimately lead to error. One has to believe the scripture not the Dates of dissenting historians. Like the Jews they missed the sign of his annunciation by John the Baptist as the beginning of the 70th week and did not heed Christ's Words that "; the Time is Fulfilled  ; and professing themselves to be wise became fools. This removed any verification of the dates away from the average man in the street and placed it in the hands of the Elite, which enabled them to build supposition on supposition.

 When the foundation is wrong the whole building collapses. If one carefully reads the Gospel of Mark chapter 11:27 through to 12:11 we discover a discussion and teaching of Christ where he asks the Sanhedrin about the veracity of John's Baptism, implying his authority to do the works of his Father. The Sanhedrin willfully reject the Baptism of John as Christ's annunciation by sidestepping the issue, the Lord then proceeds to include himself in a Parable of the vineyard as the well beloved son being the Last to be sent to them, this is a direct reference to the words of the Father at the Baptism of John, i.e. "this is My Beloved Son";, he then leads up to their rejection of the Corner Stone , and taken in Context with the question of  his Baptism by John the Baptist, their Rejection and evasion of this truth would cause the Destruction of the Husbandmen. 

Mark 12:10  And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

So likewise by rejecting the Baptism of John they have missed the Starting point of the seventieth week. Which has lead to the rejection of Christ as the Covenant Maker and the substitution of the Antichrist in his place. They have chosen Barabbas instead of Christ as their fathers did.

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it

Jesus Distinctly tells Peter that his being the Christ was not reveled to him by Flesh and blood, so when was it revealed?

The inference from this is definitely the voice of the Father declaring Jesus to be the beloved Son. Here we also see that Jesus is being manifested to Israel, those whom Daniel's prophecy is for.

2 Peter 1:17  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is  my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
 

Josephus the Jewish Historian in his mammoth treatise on the History of Israel, which he wrote from the books given to him by Titus (The Holy Books) which were taken out of the Temple before its destruction,  gives us an insight to the Chronological problems associated with this prophecy. One may think that it is a simple task to be sure of a certain date in the secular history available, but depending on your ancient source you may have great difficulty. This writer has decided to believe the scripture no matter what other sources may say, but for your research I include some extracts and comments from Josephus and a multimedia Encyclopedia. 

Now, after a little while, both himself and the city were taken by Cyrus, the king of Persia, who fought against him; for it was Baltasar, under whom Babylon was taken, when he had reigned seventeen years. And this is the end of the posterity of king Nebuchadnezzar, as history informs us; but when Babylon was taken by Darius, and when he, with his kinsman Cyrus, had put an end to the dominion of the Babylonians, he was sixty-two years old. He was the son of Astyages, and had another name among the Greeks. Moreover, he took Daniel the prophet, and carried him with him into Media, and honored him very greatly, and kept him with him; for he was one of the three presidents whom he set over his three hundred and sixty provinces, for into so many did Darius part them.

Here we have the  first glimpse of the Problems with our secular History, Cyrus and Darius 1 were responsible for the capture of Babylon. Secular history ascribes the date of the Capture as 539Bc and claims that Darius 1 reigned from 522 to 486 A period of  63 years.
 
 

Josephus records his age at the capture of Babylon, which is 62,  so 550 minus 62 = 488 bc
483 years less ad26/27 =   456bc  a difference of  32/33  years.
 
 

Here Cyrus is claimed  to have taken Babylon  in 539bc, and according to Josephus this occurred in aprox 488bc. The difference here is 51 years. And against Daniel's 70 weeks 539 456bc = 83 years.

So if Babylon was captured at a later date than the historians say then the dates following are in error as well, and we must rely by faith on the word of God.

Daniel 5:31  And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

As to the use of the Decree of Artaxerses in his 20th year on the 14th march B. C. 445 being  the starting point we shall use the words of the Angel Gabriel to Dispense this myth.

Daniel 9:23  At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

Daniel had been praying for the return of his people to Jerusalem and for the restoration of the temple, he thought God was asleep on the job,. Gabriel tells him that the commandment had gone forth when he set himself to pray, for the restoration of Jerusalem, after his discovery that Jeremiah's seventy weeks were fulfilled. Because of single verse theology this is a frequent mistake by those that appropriate scripture out of context. The subject does not begin at the 70 weeks only, for if this were so it would make Darius (born approx. 550bc Secular Date) 105 years old, and contradict the statement that Darius was Sixty two years old. Let Alone Cyrus who would be well over a Hundred. The commandment went forth in the Co-Regency of Darius and Cyrus, when Daniel started Praying . which was the first year of Darius and likewise the first year of  Cyrus. Our heavenly Fathers will in heaven was about to be done on Earth.

Daniel 9:1/3  In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans; In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.  And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Artaxerxses  is called a King of Kings in Ezra and he is obviously around at the same time as Darius  which again points to the error in the secular Chronology.

Ezra 6:14/15  And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it , according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. 1  And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

Above we have the divine order First God, then Cyrus, then Darius, then Artaxerses.

Ezra 7:12/13 Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time. I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.

On the use of a 360 day calendar by the prophets, which is a gross error in certain circles, because any student of the Feasts of the Lord, will tell you that, the seven month period contained in them, mark the equinoxes. The spring at approximately 21st march (Passover) and the 3 days of Trumpets ,Atonement and Tabernacles the Autumn Equinox approx. 23 September. These were all aligned with the phases of the moon, and the Times to sow and harvest would be maintained. So the proclamation of the New Year (Yom Kippur) would align with the Autumn equinox and 365.25 days after the previous new year. So any person who would use a 360 day year would not even know when Christ was to appear for they would not be able to celebrate any of the Lord's Feasts or when to celebrate the feast of first fruits with his harvest after seven Sabbaths. It must really be a blinded professor that would swallow such rubbish as a 360-day year. Eg: 7x5.25 days =37 days, Pesach would be one month early after the first week , and 70 times that would be almost 6 years.
Please note I myself was just as blinded by this falsehood.
