YOU ARE AN ORIGINAL

I'd like to share with you a story. A story about living to your full potential. It's called "You Are An Original" .

A famous musician announced before a concert that he would be playing one of the world's most expensive violins. His first selection was beautifully and flawlessly played. The audience erupted in appreciative applause. "Marvelous! Marvelous!" they shouted.

The violinist bowed graciously and then proceeded to smash the instrument over his knee.

The horrified audience fell deathly silent. "Never fear," the man said assuredly. "This was only a cheap counterfeit."

He then proceeded to position the expensive violin and draw the bow across its strings. The sound once again captivated the audience, and they arose to give the musician a standing ovation. Yet when asked if they could tell the difference in music from the expensive violin and the low-cost one, most could not. The quality of the instrument was only secondary to the skill of the performer.

Whether you realize it or not, you are an expensive, individually designed, absolutely magnificent instrument. The performance you give to the World is based on one thing: YOU!

I challenge you this week to take a good look at Your life and simply eliminate those things that are stopping you from making your life a brilliant performance. John Powell once said, "We must try to learn who we really are rather than trying to tell ourselves who we should be".
