Here's the happy ending story of Lily:
As promised here is an update on Lily. We do not know what her original name is since when we got her from T.L.C. she hadn't been named. We got Lily on Saturday, September 24th. We jumped in the car that day and on a whim decided to go rescue another dog. Lily was the first dog I saw. One of the volunteers pointed her out to me and said that she was lonely because the rest of her litter had already been adopted and she was the last one. Of course being the softie that I am, it broke my heart. She came right up to the gate to me and started wagging her tail and licking my hand. We made sure that we brought our other 2 dogs so that all 3 could meet on neutral ground. All 3 dogs visited with each other in the yard and at that point I knew we were going to take her home.
Lily is now 7 months old and happy and healthy. She has grown to about 33 pounds, but she acts like she is about 70 pounds. She absolutely loves her brother and sister. Her sister Kasey just kind of watches her with a keen eye and when she's had enough of Lily's antics, Kasey lets her know. Lily's brother Chuck, whom is also a rescued dog from T.L.C. and a former V.I.P. puppy, is her favorite one to play with. Since Lily is a herding dog, Chuck's ankles are a prime target for her. I love to see them play and Lily just hanging on to his back legs while he's trying to run away. Since we got Lily, it prompted us to get a bigger house and sell our townhouse. Now all 3 dogs have a huge fenced in backyard to play and run around. I am so happy that we decided to take Lily home and add to our "family". We do not have children so all 3 of our dogs get tons of love and attention. Even though Lily was the last picked in her litter, I think she got the best home of all. We love her to death and she loves to cuddle with us at night and with her brother and sister. I have sent some pictures too so you can see what a wonderful and beautiful dog she has turned out to be.
Thank you so much for our latest addition!
