He married Sarah. Sarah was born in Nansemond Co., VA ABT 1706. Sarah died ABT 1769 in Northampton Co., NC.

James JOSSEY III and Sarah had the following children:

9 i. James⁶ JOSSEY was born in Nansemond Co., VA ABT 1728. James died 25 OCT 1785 in Halifax Co., NC, at 57 years of age.

10 ii. William JOSSEY was born in Nansemond Co., VA ABT 1729.

11 iii. Henry JOSSEY was born in Nansemond Co., VA ABT 1731. Henry died 1799 in Wilkes Co., GA, at 68 years of age.

12 iv. Sarah JOSSEY was born in Nansemond Co., VA ABT 1734.

13 v. Willis JOSSEY was born in Nansemond Co., VA ABT 1736. Willis died BEF MAY 1782 in Northampton Co., NC.
