Vacation '99
Vacation '99 took us to the Elks* Convention in Kansas City, MO, city of my birth.
This presented opportunity to revisit places of childhood memories, visit with friends, and catch with up classmate Enid (Masters) Woods, who now lives with husband George on the shores of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks.
We drove from KC to Denver to see our oldest daughter and her family. Great to see the grandkids there, it'd been 3 years.
We went down to Colorado Springs, then up to the high mountain home (9,000 ft.+) of a schoolmate from AHS days. Yeah, '53 - '55!!
On another day Sue drove us over to Golden, where we got to have lunch and visit with Ben Cutter.
Visiting with Enid, Ben and Jim this year was as much a treat as last years visits with Sandy (Oliphant) & Bob Jones, Lucia (Gardiner) Hennen, Marilyn (Sparling) Vignolo, and Dick Phipps, and visiting our school.
*Nancy and I are both Elks (B.P.O.E.), and were able to do a number of things by aligning our vacation with the site and timing of the Convention.
