I live about 30 miles from the OKC bombing site. Many, many people visited the site and once you left there it gave to you a sense of serenity. It remains amazing to me how being at the site of such a tragedy can do this. . . . but it does. Following are some of the pictures that I took of this unbelievable site.

OKC bombing

This is the best view that I was able to get.
Spectators were only allowed so close to the building itself.

OKC bombing

This is another view of the Murrah Federal Building.
Is this picture, I am looking up at the building
from the east end, near Harvey Street.

OKC bombing

This is my favorite photo of all the ones I was able to take. I had this one blown up to an 8 X 10 and framed. See the dried flowers in the foreground in the red paper? The handmade note attached says, "OKC loves you". This bouquet was lying on the sidewalk in front of the "Memorial Fence" that you see here.

OKC bombing

The entire Murrah site was immediately enclosed with
a tall chain link fence. This became known to all
as the "Memorial Fence". The fence surrounded about ten
of the city's blocks. Visitors would come to the site
daily and add something to the "fence".
