Scoutisme Feminin Francais

There are five different scouting and guiding organizations for girls in france that all cooperate under the title of Scoutisme Feminin Francais (Feminine French Scouting). Three of them, the Association of Scouts and Guides (non-denominational), the Israelite Association of Scouts and Guides (Jewish), and the Unionist Federation of Scouts and Guides (Protestant), are co-ed. The French Guides (Catholic) organization is for girls only. The Muslim Scouts (Islamic) are the most recent members of the association. Each organization has its own badge, its own program, and its own version of the Promise and Law. The French Guides are highlighted here because their structure is more complex and therefore especially interesting. For more information on the other organizations, see Trefoil Around the World.

Charter of the Jeunes en Marche
Jeunes en marche, you have the earth to share, build it with your hands.
Jeunes en marche, you have a body, do not abuse it, but let it express your desire to live.
Jeunes en marche, you have freedom, use it in what you say and what you do.
Jeunes en marche, you have a place among mankind, particpate with those men and women in the development of the world.
Jeunes en marche, you have a life, do not bury it, go forward in the way of the Beatitudes.
The Youth on the Move Motto
A MOVE towards adult life. To act is to become involved.

    The Call of the Caravelle
If you want to help others, fight indifference and join with others in action.
If you want to become yourself, face up to others and give your best.
If you want to go further, reflect on what has passed and expand your horizons.
If you want to respect life, discover nature and work for a more humane environment.
If you want to build the world, take your share of responsibility and put your skills at the service of others.
If you want to build the future, team up with others and keep confident.
Then you are on the road to freedom and love: you answer the call of Jesus Christ.
    Caravelle Motto
EMBARK on a journey towards life choices, training, relationships. Undertake and live life to the full.
