Jean McGraw & Joséphine Melanson



Jean Barnabe McGRAW was born Aug 12 1881 in Shediac Westmorland New Brunswick.
He was the son of Barnabe McGRAW & Henriette RICHARD
who had married on Nov 15 1880 in Cap Pélé New Brunswick.

Barnabe and Henriette also had a daughter:
Émilienne (born Oct 28 1883)
who married Eustace LEBLANC on Oct 27 1902 in Cap Pélé.
Émilienne & Eustace had 9 children.

Joséphine MELANSON was born May 23 1882 in Scoudouc New Brunswick.
She was the daughter of Fabien MELANSON & Agathe THÉRIAULT.

Jean and Joséphine had 7 children:
1) Elmire born May 11 1903,
married Leo LIRETTE (Lorette) in Sackville NB

2) Henriette Alina born May 19 1905 in St André NB,
married Aimé BOUDREAU on Aug 5 1923 in Sackville NB (6 children)

3) Jean Amédé born Jun 6 1907 in St André NB,
married Aurore Adelaide M in Montréal Québec

4) Edgar
5) Alphonse,
married Thérèse G

6) Amanda Louise born Mar 5 1910,
married Louis (Joseph) G in Montréal Québec

When Jean died in 1932,
Josephine took Edgar with her,
left Alphonse in St. Andre,
and left Louise with Sisters of Sacred Heart in Shediac
where she was raised.
Louise took RN training and ended up in Gaspe.

7) Agathe Émilienne born Feb 16 1912 / died Dec 5 1912


Jean died Apr 9th 1932 in Westmorland County New Brunswick.

Joséphine remarried at some point after 1932 to Alphonse BEAUCOUP.
Her date and place of death is unknown at this time.

Jean McGRAW & Joséphine MELANSON are Ed's GR grandparents!!
