Several nieces and nephews mourn his passing including Miss Marjorie Roberts and Alderman J.S. McArthur of Brockville. The late Mr. McArthur during his years of residence of Brockville had won the esteem of all classes of citizens. His business was conducted with strictest integrity and his word was a guarantee of honesty at all time. He was a man who never sought public recognition yet his charitable deeds for the welfare of others were unfailing in their worth and in consequence he won the respect and admiration of many. Of a quiet nature he was nevertheless always courteous to business and social acquaintances as was a dignified Christian gentleman in the truest sense. His passing is regretted by all, but by none more so than those who were closely associated with him. Their is a picture of him in the local paper which I will try to scan and present here.
