TIDBITS FROM THE KITCHEN

lettuce

Lettuce be kind to one another,
Squash gossip,
Egg yourself on to speak God to someone,
Spice up your life with giving.
Pears that worship together make Peachy home:
Rolls of magazines to read,
Don't be a crumb,
Catsup on your Bible reading.
Butter think about eternal life,
Dressing up to go out? Then we'll
Meat you at church.

I was going through an old recipe book of my
Mom's and found all these wonderful sayings and
poems. I do not know who the authors are but I
wanted to share them with all of you. The name of
the cook book is Britton Centennial Cookbook and
it comes from the town I was born in; Britton, SD.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did.
