Hot Bacon and Onion Sauce for Vegetables

      Ingredients
      2 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
      1/4c. firmly packed brown sugar
      1/8t. pepper
      1/3c. water
      1 small onion, halved, thinly sliced
      2t. flour
      1/3c. cider vinegar
      hot, cooked vegetables

      To Prepare:
      In medium saucepan over medium heat, cook bacon just until it begins to brown. Add onion; cook 3 to 5 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring frequently. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cook until bubbly, stirring frequently. Toss with hot vegetables.
